Carlos Ligero Quartet

Written by conall. Posted in Blues'n'Jazz, Music, What's on this Month

Carlos Ligero Quartet is a jazz band that combines delicate environments and highly creative improvisations, ranging from almost all genres in Jazz. The elements of Post-bop, Latin, African and contemporary Jazz rhythms are channeled through original compositions and the reworking of traditional standards, which serve as a vehicle for high energy interaction. The music of this original jazz band is reflective and inventive, but also full of character, which reflects the different backgrounds and imagination of musicians. This multicultural band is formed by Carlos Ligero (Cadiz, Spain) on Alto Saxophone, John Moriarty (Ireland) Guitar, Scott Flanigan (N. Ireland) Organ and Cote Calmet (Peru) on drums.
