  The Solely Blues Club is Dublin’s authentic traditional Blues night on the last Saturday of each month. Only the great old time early blues(pre 1960) will be played from artists such as Leadbelly, Robert Johnson, Bessie Smith, Charley Patton, Skip James, Tampa Red, Jimmy Reed, Elizabeth Cotton, Odetta, Big Bill Broonzy and more played on dobro/acoustic guitar, piano, harmonica, double bass, banjo etc. The music that originated from Africa and was moulded in America on the chain gangs and gin houses, songs of protest, race, depression, love and whiskey. The club is also here to help performers create a community of acoustic blues musicians to play on a monthly basis
