Peter Moc Group and Lage Lund recorded their first original album “Native Son” in New York City in 2017 and this band is touring and releasing their latest original album “Full Circle” recorded in Dublin in 2018. It is story-telling, cinematic imagination, pure excitement, extraordinary connection and virtuosity what makes “Full Circle” stand out on a map of world music. Lage Lund is one of the finest guitarists of his generation and one of the most compelling jazz artists in the world today. Lund swings with great authority, displaying a staggering harmonic sophistication and a singularly fluid voice as a soloist. Since graduating from Berklee College of Music in Boston, the Juilliard School of Music in NYC and winning Thelonious Monk International jazz Competition – Lund has performed with David Sanchez, the Maria Schneider Orchestra, Mark Turner, Seamus Blake. Composer, arranger, musical director, educator and guitarist Peter Moc , bassist Andrew Csibi and drummer Kevin Brady have worked and recorded alongside Grammy winning artists such as Nir Felder, Brian Charette, Larry Coryell . This project is compositionally and instrumentally one of the most exciting, fearless and up-lifting experiences ready to be presented via live shows in Ireland, England, Czech Republic, USA and Japan.

Alberto López will premier his new flamenco show “Detrás de la Verdad” qualified by the press as “the guitar in another dimension” with Irish guitarist John Walsh. Along the concert both guitarists will make the public feel the excitement of flamenco fused in the different themes that make it up. It will be a performance of traditional flamenco styles as tientos, granainas, tarantas and some standars of flamenco with an exclusive aim: making the audience feel. Bio Alberto López was born in Baza (Granada) in 1990, where he started his lessons to become a flamenco guitar player at 11 years old. Then, he started his academic training at the Conservatory “José Salinas”, where he won his first contest as a soloist guitarist at the tender age of 14. His passion for the flamenco has lead him to receive lessons by masters such as Miguel Ángel Cortés, Gerardo Núñez, Manolo Franco or Niño Pura among others, while he obtained his degree on flamenco guitar in Córdoba. In addition to play for voices like “El Pele” or Encarna Anillo, among others, shared the stage with artists such Tomatito, Estrella Morente…At 18 years old he started to gather his first international awards, some of the most remarkable ones are International Flamenco Guitar Competition “Ciutat de L’Hospitalet”, International Guitar Competition “Manuel Cano” or Competition for young interpreters (Jaén), among others. As a soloist guitarist, he has taken part in important flamenco events such as La Bienal of Seville, La Noche Blanca del Flamenco in Córdoba, the International Guitar Festival of Belgrade and tours along countries as Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, France, Japan, Jordan, among others. “Detrás de la Verdad” is his third self-composed show and is also the title of his first album with the collaboration of the main flamenco artists as “El Pele”, Encarna Anillo, Pepe de Pura, Manuel Tañé, Antonio Núñez “El Pulga”, Bernardo Miranda y Eduardo Giménez “Coki” as featuring artists, among others. John Walsh is Ireland’s leading Flamenco Guitarist. An accomplished musician and composer, John has been performing solo since 2006. Along with performing concerts throughout Ireland and venues in Spain and the UK, he has performed in one of the most historically important flamenco venue’s ,’El Candela’ in Madrid, as well as being the invited International Artist for the 2014 Flamenco Festival Flamenco de Consuegra. He has composed music for and performed with the National Ballet of Ireland & Michael Rooney’s De Cuellar Orchestra among others and performed for the Irish President Michael D Higgins. He has performed with many acclaimed artists including Jose Manuel Leon, Salvador Andrades, Luis de Luis, Olayo Jimenez, Lucas Gonzalez, Francisco Garcia, Felipe de Algeciras, Mercedes Garcia Lopez, Pepe de Algeciras. Nigel Mooney & The Johnny Taylor Trio

Nigel Mooney is widely regarded as Ireland’s leading jazz singer and guitarist. A charismatic figure on the Dublin jazz and blues scenes since the early 1980s, his Gripewater Blues Band spearheaded the blues movement in Ireland and drew many fans of both jazz and the blues. A self-taught musician, Mooney was influenced by the blues from an early age and his hard-bop style of guitar playing is expressive and melodic with a bluesy groove. He possesses a warm and rich tenor voice and has an almost flawless sense of pitch he plays with Johnny Taylor on piano, Dominic Mullen on drums and Barry Donoghue on bass. doors 9 music 9.30 entry 10euro
