In addition to Trevor on keyboards the night will also include bassist Garvan Gallagher, Tom Jamieson on drums, Ed Deane on electric guitar, and Bill Blackmore on horns.

Award winning Belfast singer songwriter Kaz Hawkins, has relaunched as a solo artist and is touring the UK & Ireland in 2018 with her new piano/vocal show with special guest Sam York (Tom Jones/Ed Sheeran) on piano. Kaz has been taking her new material on the road, in an intimate and personal show about her life in song addressing mental health issues in her ongoing campaign to reduce stigma. Her life story is one of ultimate survival and she now used her story to give hope. Kaz’s 2017 album Don’t You Know introduced audiences around the world to the powerful, emotive new direction of a woman who owes being alive to the music she now performs. An artist that truly connects with her audience on a personal level & Northern Ireland’s very own Blues Queen.

This Month at Listen at Arthurs we have three very different flavours of improvised music ! This month: guitarist and singer Niwel Tsumbu, and percussionist Éamonn Cagney will be performing music with sources ranging from classical to Central African music. Flautist Lina Andonovska and drummer Matthew Jacobson performing stunning new work by Composers Barry O’Halpin and Nick Roth. and Finally as part of Music Network’s “Masters and Rising Stars series” pianists Phil Ware and Luke Howard take to the stage for an interesting new piano duo. The music from the GLG – Greg Lloyd Group – – is original instrumental World, Jazz, Blues, Classical, Rock and Funk all mixed up into a piano trio cocktail inspired by the music of Avishai Cohen, Esbjorn Svensson Trio (EST), Pat Metheny Group and by Greg’s time working on the film ‘El Gusto’ with Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz), an award-winning film about the lost ‘Chaabi’ music of Northern Africa.
