Michael McInerney is a harmonica player and teacher based in Dublin. He has been playing for over 30 years and is a remarkably versatile player equally proficient on both Chromatic and Diatonic harmonicas. His style, while firmly grounded in the blues, also takes inspiration from a diverse and eclectic range of influences. From Chicago Blues to Jazz, Trad, and maybe even a little Classical. You are as likely to hear him play some Vangelis as you are Little Walter. He has performed with The RTE Concert Orchestra, Don Baker, Richard Hunter, Brendan Power, and Mick Kinsella to name a few and, as a session musician for a number of film, television and theatre productions. In 2010 he set up his own studio Blue Third Music dedicated to the teaching of harmonica.
