This is the perfect opportunity for your blues band to participate in the most prestigious Blues challenge in Europe and one of the most respected Blues festival worldwide.
The third and last but not least SEMIFINAL will be held at Arthurs Pub in Dublin, 3 pre-selected bands from the previous application process will have the opportunity to be chosen on the night as the Dublin Blues circuit winner! Then the Ireland Blues Challenge 2019’s winning band which will represent Ireland at the European Blues Challenge in 2020 will be selected by our expert jury from using videos from each of three concerts (Dublin, Galway, Cork).

Peter Moc Group and Lage Lund recorded their first original album “Native Son” in New York City in 2017 and this band is touring and releasing their latest original album “Full Circle” recorded in Dublin in 2018. It is story-telling, cinematic imagination, pure excitement, extraordinary connection and virtuosity what makes “Full Circle” stand out on a map of world music.
Lage Lund is one of the finest guitarists of his generation and one of the most compelling jazz artists in the world today. Lund swings with great authority, displaying a staggering harmonic sophistication and a singularly fluid voice as a soloist. Since graduating from Berklee College of Music in Boston, the Juilliard School of Music in NYC and winning Thelonious Monk International jazz Competition – Lund has performed with David Sanchez, the Maria Schneider Orchestra, Mark Turner, Seamus Blake.
Composer, arranger, musical director, educator and guitarist Peter Moc , bassist Andrew Csibi and drummer Kevin Brady have worked and recorded alongside Grammy winning artists such as Nir Felder, Brian Charette, Larry Coryell . This project is compositionally and instrumentally one of the most exciting, fearless and up-lifting experiences ready to be presented via live shows in Ireland, England, Czech Republic, USA and Japan.
Ireland’s Leading Jazz Guitarist Tommy Halferty performs at Arthurs with One of Ireland’s critically acclaimed rhythm sections Dave Redmond on Double-Bass and Kevin Brady Drums. This trio to date has been performing Internationally playing Halferty’s new original compositions which feature a blend of improvised music, swing, rock & blues. Halferty is one of the leading exponents of Jazz Guitar Improvisation from Ireland, having performed nationally and Internationally for over 30 years.
